Skaraborgs Enskilda Bank erected this impressive and time typical ”bank palace” in 1984, with Magnus Steendorff as the architect. On the ground floor there were shops, in the mezzanine there were bank premises and on the top floor there were two apartments. The architecture is typical for the 1890’s when “real materials” such as brick and limestone were used. The bank premises are highlighted in the exterior by arch windows with stone columns and stained glass. Period features in this building are for example decorative anchor ends, bronzed flowers, stone medallions with Västergötlands landscape weapon and a balcony with wrought iron railing. In 1910-1912 an extension was made towards the north. This contained a new bank hall made after drawings by architect Gustaf Wickman.
